4Life is Forest’s entry-level range of wooden sheds, so, if you’re operating on a tight budget, these are the sheds for you.

4Life sheds are built using overlapping timber boards, which is the traditional method of constructing a wooden garden shed. However, if you do choose a 4Life wooden shed, please keep the words ‘budget’ and ‘traditional’ in context, because these wooden sheds are still the best, most innovative overlap sheds Forest has ever made. In fact, they’re the best overlap sheds on the market, bar none.

Overlap sheds are cheap sheds to buy because of the relatively simple way in which the walls are constructed, which makes them the easiest type of shed to manufacture. Add on the fact that their walls are the standard 7mm thick, and you’ve got the reasons why Forest can afford to price them at the bottom end of the market.

And price isn’t overlap sheds’ only big selling point – this traditional method of construction ensures excellent rainwater runoff too.

There’s also 30% more framing on a 4Life shed than on a standard overlap model, which really does provide a sense of strength and solidity.

A 4Life shed floor and roof are both built to be practical, hardwearing and stylish.

The former is made from 14mm solid timber boards, so is actually far thicker than the flooring found on most manufacturers’ luxury models.

The latter is constructed from tough 8mm OSB and fitted with an attractive green mineral-felt cover for complete weatherproof protection.

Ledged and braced to prevent dropping or movement, 4Life shed doors also include hidden security hinges and a hasp and staple plate. You supply the padlock and you’ve got yourself a very secure shed.

The windows are made from PET, which is light in weight, completely shatterproof, and far more secure than horticultural glass. While PET wouldn’t be classified as a high-end feature, it is highly practical and fulfils its function well.

Beckwood shed walls are built from premium 12mm shiplap cladding, which is renowned for its strength, durability and superb weathertight qualities. Measuring 28 x 56mm, the framing is extremely impressive too. The reason it’s so thick is that Beckwood sheds come with a complete modular design, making them even stronger than 4Life sheds and offering an unprecedented choice of door/ window placements.

Beckwood shed floors are also an upgrade on 4Life. Although slightly thinner, they’re made from premium 12mm tongue and groove, so they not only effortlessly cope with heavy machinery and constant footfall, they really do look the business too.

In terms of the roofs, just like 4Life models, these sheds consist of 8mm OSB and a green mineral-felt cover, which is a winning combination showcasing both strength and style.

These wooden sheds’ doors are ledged, braced and fitted with hidden hinges, so the foundations for a high-security shed are all in place. Beckwood shed doors also feature a pad bolt, which is a clear upgrade on a 4Life’s hasp and staple plate (padlock not included).

The windows are made from 3mm acrylic, so they’re better too. Just like PET glazing, they’re light in weight and completely shatterproof, but they have the added bonuses of being scratch resistant and crystal clear.
