These market-leading 4m-wide garden offices are expertly built from structural insulated panels (SIPs), which are a type of robust sandwich panel, used in the construction industry to build energy-efficient homes.
SIPs provide a damp-free environment, which is cool in summer and cosy in winter, so you can enjoy perfect working conditions the whole year round.
Garden Office Walls
The walls consist of 75mm of insulation, sandwiched between 2 sheets of OSB. They are then covered in cladding, both inside and out.
To the exterior, it’s 15mm premium tongue and groove, renowned for its superior weathertightness and immaculate finish.
Inside, Forest uses pre-cut MDF, with a vertical beaded profile. This is coated in primer, so you can paint the walls in your chosen colour, using standard emulsion.
The total thickness of these walls is an incredible 177mm!
What’s more, the battens on the interior cladding are designed to leave ample space for wiring and/or recessed ceiling lights, should you wish to add mains electricity at a later date.
Floor and Roof
Unlike other top-quality pre-fabricated garden offices, SIPs are also used to construct both the floor and roof.
The former is a whopping 108mm thick, so isn’t just another source of insulation, it’s able to support heavier equipment and cope with constant footfall too.
The latter is 122mm thick and finished with EPDM, which is a superior rubber cover, offering exceptional weatherproof protection and supplied with an extraordinary 50-year guarantee.
Doors and Windows
The Forest Xtend 4.0 Insulated Garden Office 4.05m x 3.42m (97mm) features a glazed door and 3 additional large windows, and part of the side window is an opener.
The 4.0+ model is fitted with glazed double doors and 2 large windows, of which the top half open on each.
Both of these garden offices boast A-rated toughened double glazing throughout.
