Description
A beautifully-designed summer house in which to relax, the Oakley 7x5 Wooden Garden Summerhouse (2.3m x 1.5m) is full of both charm and quality.
Walls, Floor and Roof
Expertly constructed from traditional 7mm overlap cladding on a 28mm² frame, this 7x5 summer house is robust, durable and weatherproof. The floor is built from 14mm solid wood boards, so is far better equipped than OSB to accommodate your garden furniture and years of footfall. The 8mm OSB roof is fitted with a superior mineral felt cover, the perfect way to keep your valuable items protected from the elements. The traditional apex roof; scalloped, smooth-planed barge boards; and diamond-shaped finial all combine to give this summerhouse a really charming appearance.
Wood Quality
This wooden summer house is only made from sustainably sourced FSC®-certified timber. It is then pressure treated and supplied with an impressive 15-year anti-rot guarantee. No further treatment is required, saving you money and leaving you more time to relax in your new summerhouse.
Doors and Windows
Access to your summerhouse is via wide double doors fitted with a bolt closure. These doors are glazed with 3/4-length windows. Together with the 4 further fixed windows, they provide the interior with an abundance of natural light – ideal when you’re relaxing inside with a good book. The glazing is made from acrylic, which is lightweight, shatterproof and far safer than conventional glass.
Choice of Sizes
You can purchase this garden summerhouse as a 7x5 or an 8x6 summerhouse. A 7x7 Oakley will soon be added to the collection.

Why choose a Forest Oakley Summerhouse?
If you're looking to purchase a new summer house and can afford a slightly higher initial spend, buying a pressure treated building will save you a lot of time and money in the long term.
Forest branded pressure treated summer houses have a number of features to ensure maximum durability and strength including boarded wooden floors, security door hinges, extra framing and so much more.

The best overlap summer houses we've ever made
RELAX AND ENJOY
The 7' x 5' Forest Oakley Wooden Garden Summerhouse (2.3m x 1.5m) is the ideal small summer house in which to relax and enjoy the garden.
ROOF
The 8mm OSB roof comes with a premium mineral felt cover to keep out the rain. Smooth-planed, scalloped barge boards and a diamond-shaped finial complete the extremely attractive appearance.
Pressure treatment forces preservative deep inside the timber. The result is long-lasting protection against rot and fungal decay. There is no need to re-treat EVER, saving an estimated £200 in time and treatment costs compared to dip treated summerhouses.
Strong and durable, the 14mm pressure treated boarded timber floor is built to withstand wear and tear and enable storage of heavier items. This floor is protected by pressure treated timber bearers.
Straight edge overlap cladding provides durability and strength as well as providing the traditional style we all know and love. The high-quality cladding means the panels are less likely to warp or develop gaps.
The 4 windows are fitted with shatterproof PET glazing, made from recycled materials, which will not yellow or become brittle over time. PET is more robust than the styrene used in standard summer houses.
Wide double doors offer easy access to this wooden summer house. They are fitted with a sliding bolt closure and feature 3/4-length windows.
Why not paint your wooden summer house to add your own personalised touch, just like Forest have done here?

Quick and easy construction.
Pressure Treatment Process Explained
The Pressure Treatment process for timber has been applied to products for a number of years; the key benefit of this process is that the preservative is forced under vacuum pressure right deep into the heart of the wood and the grain structure. The preservative becomes an integral part of the wood; giving a long life and protection against rot.
This process also means that you never have to apply preservatives to your garden summerhouse, and it allows the natural colours of the timber to show through and so your summerhouse blends easily within your garden. Surprisingly, our Pressure Treated summer houses are only slightly more expensive than our dip treated summer houses.

Timber is loaded into chamber and a vacuum empties timber cells of air.

Cylinder is flooded under vacuum with preservative.

Preservative is forced deep into timber using hydraulic pressure.

Another vacuum extracts excess preservative.

Timber draws in surface excess of preservative under low pressure, then is left to dry.

After felling, the timber is cut and processed in one of our nearby sawmills and taken to our manufacturing operation in the heart of Britain. It is here our skilled workforce proudly produce the widest range of garden buildings, fencing and structures available in the UK.
All of the products that we sell are dispatched from this site. The final part of their journey is managed by our dedicated delivery department who are responsible for distribution direct to customers' homes by our fleet of vehicles.
