Description

Attractive, weather-proof and with a sleek pent design, the Delamere 6x3 Shiplap Dip Treated Pent Wooden Shed is made by Forest Garden - one of the UK’s leading shed manufacturers.

This premium wooden shed features robust 12mm shiplap tongue and groove cladding. Tongue and groove has a tight interlocking construction and is known for its weather-resistant properties which, along with the characteristic shiplap scallop, help create a reliable and durable 6x3 shed. This 12mm shiplap cladding is supported by a 28x28 frame, with 30% more framing than standard sheds, further adding to its strength. The modular design also means the panels are less prone to warping. Joins in the modular construction are protected by outer weather covering strips to prevent any water ingress.

All of this shed’s timber has been dip treated to offer a 10 year guarantee against rot and fungal decay when supported by annual retreatment.

While most sheds come with an OSB floor as standard, this garden shed includes a strong pressure treated 14mm boarded timber floor. Far superior to OSB flooring, this wooden floor is built to withstand storage of your heavier items as well as years of footfall. The floor is further strengthened by pressure treated bearers.

The pent roof makes the shed ideal for siting up against a fence or wall. Many people regard the sleek lines of a pent shed as a more modern option than an apex shed. The roof is made from 8mm OSB. It is supplied with our green mineral felt which is a stronger, more attractive option than industry-standard black sand felt.

You can rest assured that your stored contents will be secure. The single door of this shed features double Z-bracing for increased strength, while the hidden hinges cannot be tampered with from the outside. There’s a hasp and staple closure too, ready for you to add a padlock (padlock not included). The single door can be left or right-hand opening – the choice is yours. If security is an issue, you’ll be pleased to know that the shed has a windowless design.

Manufactured in the UK, this garden shed is made from UK-grown, FSC certified, smooth planed and kiln dried timber.

Instructions for a straightforward self-assembly are included. The smaller panels of the modular design are far easier to manoeuvre during build than standard shed panels. Or you can leave it all to the experts and purchase our installation upgrade. This shed should only be built on a level, hard surface and ideally placed on a shed base.

  • treatment

Dip treatment coats the timber in a preservative which protects the wood from rot and fungal decay. When supported by annual applications, this treatment provides at least a decade of protection.

  • floor

Strong 14mm pressure-treated boarded timber floor. This wooden floor is built to withstand storage of heavier items as well as years of footfall. The floor is further strengthened by pressure treated bearers. A timber floor is far superior to the OSB that comes with standard sheds.

  • extra strength

The design of our sheds features more extensive framing than standard sheds. This results in a more robust build.

Smaller sections make transportation and handling easy.

Quick and easy construction.

Dip Treatment Process Explained

Dip treatment is a tried and tested method of applying wood preservative to timber products, and the process is fairly straightforward. First, the timber is dipped into a cylinder containing a powerful wood preservative. The preservative is then absorbed into the surface of the timber and, after it’s removed and left to dry, it will be thoroughly protected it against both rot and fungal decay.

After the dip treatment process is completed, the timber will have a lovely orangey-brown hue, ensuring it will become an attractive feature of your garden, as well as complementing most fence panels. Of course, you can choose to stain your dip treated shed another colour upon assembly. If you’re interested in an affordable, practical, and sturdy dip treated shed, why not take a look at our featured products below?

Forest Logo

Making British Gardens Great

At Forest, we know a fair bit about fences. And sheds for that matter. In fact, we've been one of the UK's most trusted manufacturer and distributor of quality wooden garden products for over 50 years.

With two sawmills in the UK processing locally-sourced timber, and a Head Office in Hartlebury, Worcestershire, you’ll find our range of garden buildings, fencing, decking and decorative structures for sale across many sites online and in over 3,000 retail stores. From the forest to the doorstep, we are involved every step of the way to ensure we bring you the best product and service.

Forests

Home Grown

We're proud to say that the majority of the timber we use is cut in our very own sawmill from trees grown in the UK.

Not only that, but our range is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council and the majority of our products carry the FSC logo - so you know that our timber is ethically sourced from well-managed, sustainable forests that are replanted for future generations.

(Certification number TT-COC-001790, Issue date 5 March 2015)

Made in the UK

Well made in Britain

The majority of the timber we use is grown and felled from managed UK forests across Scotland and Wales. After felling, the timber is cut and processed in one of our nearby sawmills and taken to our manufacturing operation in the heart of Britain. It is here our skilled workforce proudly produce the widest range of garden buildings, fencing and structures available in the UK.

All of the products that we sell are dispatched from this site. The final part of their journey is managed by our dedicated delivery department who are responsible for distribution direct to customers' homes by our fleet of vehicles.
