The 8x6 Overlap Pent Dip Treated Shed is constructed using 8mm squared edged timber overlapping allowing rain water to run off yet allow some movement. The 8mm thick overlap board cladding is fixed to 28mm x 28mm framing to give the shed its core stability.

The 8x6 Pent Overlap Dip Treated Shed is guaranteed against rot and fungal decay for 10 years as long as it is sited on a suitable base and re treated with a timber preservative every couple of years. The timber is FSC certified from sustainable sources.

The Pent design roof is made from a durable OSB solid sheet board supported by sturdy battens and topped with black sand felt to protect and finished with smooth planed barge boards.
The single opening door features extra diagonal framing and hung using hidden security hinges and screws provided. The door can be locked shut via the hasp and staple provided using a padlock (not included) There are two single unbreakable Polycarbonate windows in the front gable which are also UV stable and also fixed using security screws provided as standard.

Shed Base Options

Wooden Shed Base

Wooden Shed Base Kit

As an alternative to laying slabs or concrete, this shed base is a faster, more cost effective DIY solution suitable for use on uneven ground.

The wooden shed base consists of a pressure treated framework and galvanised steel spikes. The pressure treatment ensures that the framework is robust and is guaranteed to resist rot for an impressive 15 years. Galvanised steel spikes are then secured to the framework. They are designed to sink straight into the ground, so installation is simple and quick.

Plastic Shed Base

Plastic Shed Base Kit

Quick and simple to install, the 8x6 plastic shed base kit is ideal for avoiding the hassle of laying slabs or concrete when preparing a base for a new shed. Its interlocking design makes it easy to put together and, though lightweight, it provides a very strong and durable base for the shed. Made from 100% recycled plastic, this shed base is eco-friendly. Also, it can be reused if the shed is repositioned. The base allows for ventilation and drainage under the shed, helping to keep the shed floor dry.

To install the base, simply interlock the square grids together and lay onto a firm, level area of ground. We recommend using 15kg of 10m pea gravel per square (gravel not included). Each square is 500 x 500 x 50mm. This pack contains 20 squares and heavy-duty, commercially-graded weed membrane.

Dip treated sheds

Why choose a dip treated shed?

Dip treated sheds are economical as well as long-lasting; these garden sheds are perfect for those in search of a cost-effective storage solution for gardening tools, equipment, and outdoor toys. At Buy Sheds Direct, our dip treated sheds boast substantial 10 year guarantees against both rot and fungal decay. Our sheds are built to last. All that’s required by way of maintenance is a coat of high-quality wood preservative once a year. Coating your shed with a wood preservative isn’t as arduous a task as it seems either; the process takes an hour or two, and can be quite therapeutic. Plus, a coat of treatment will rejuvenate your shed, keeping it looking fantastic and good as new for many years to come.

To ensure maximum security, durability, and robustness, our Forest branded sheds are equipped with a number of other important features. For instance, hidden door hinges and a hasp and staple are used to provide extra security; the windows are made from unbreakable polycarbonate and attached with security screws; and the doors are strengthened with additional diagonal framing. Furthermore, the eaves height of the sheds is 6 inches greater than most other brands, providing maximum storage space.

So, why not take a look at our brilliant dip treated sheds today? And, remember, our friendly, UK-based customer service team are always happy to help should you have any questions about any of our products.

Don't be fooled by cheap imitations. Buy a shed to last a lifetime!

Our Sheds

Our dip treated sheds are dipped in an anti-fungal solution treatment, providing short term protection. Therefore, they do not need to be treated for the first 12 months and come with a 10 year guarantee against rot when supported with annual retreatment.

Competitors' Sheds

An initial water-based treatment has been applied to protect the timber from mould for approximately 3 months. It is recommended that the wood be re-treated on installation and every year thereafter.

Dip Treatment Process Explained

Dip treatment is a tried and tested method of applying wood preservative to timber products, and the process is fairly straightforward. First, the timber is dipped into a cylinder containing a powerful wood preservative. The preservative is then absorbed into the surface of the timber and, after it’s removed and left to dry, it will be thoroughly protected it against both rot and fungal decay.

After the dip treatment process is completed, the timber will have a lovely orangey-brown hue, ensuring it will become an attractive feature of your garden, as well as complementing most fence panels. Of course, you can choose to stain your dip treated shed another colour upon assembly. If you’re interested in an affordable, practical, and sturdy dip treated shed, why not take a look at our featured products below?
