Description
Pressure treated and boasting a superior construction, the Premium 8x6 Tongue and Groove Shed from Forest is a handsome, robust garden shed sure to provide superb storage for all your gardening equipment.
One of Forest's Premium Tongue and Groove Shed range, this wooden shed is constructed with 12mm tongue and groove cladding supported by a robust 45x28mm frame. As well as providing a modern, handsome appearance with sleek, clean lines, the tongue and groove boards tightly interlock to create a build that is strong, weathertight and less prone to warping. This premium construction continues in the roof and floor - both also 12mm tongue and groove. The wooden floor is supported by pressure treated bearers resulting in a floor that is able to withstand years of footfall and the storage of your heavier garden equipment. This is far superior to the OSB floors of standard sheds. The tongue and groove roof of this apex 8x6 shed is supplied with a felt covering and finished with barge boards and a finial. With eaves around 4 inches higher than standard sheds, you'll have a comfortable, reliable space in which to store and manoeuvre your items.
For long-lasting quality, the timber of this shed has been pressure treated. This forces preservative deep inside the wood, providing an impressive 15 year guarantee against rot. Plus, you'll save time and money as - unlike dip treated sheds - this shed does not require annual retreatments. All the wood is FSC certified as being from sustainable sources.
Access to the shed is via a single door. The door is reinforced with double Z framing which strengthens the door for security and also prevents dropping over time. The door is fitted with a key-operated rim lock offering further security. You can assemble the door as left or right hand opening and place at either of the gable ends to suit your garden. Two windows, including an opening window with a multi-position latch, are included with the shed. The glazing is 3mm acrylic - a safer, shatter-resistant alternative to glass.
Delivery is FREE to most UK postcodes. Instructions and fixtures are all included. An installation service is available to purchase for expert, no hassle assembly.

Shed Base Option

Plastic Shed Base Kit
Quick and simple to install, the 8x6 plastic shed base kit is ideal for avoiding the hassle of laying slabs or concrete when preparing a base for a new shed. Its interlocking design makes it easy to put together and, though lightweight, it provides a very strong and durable base for the shed. Made from 100% recycled plastic, this shed base is eco-friendly. Also, it can be reused if the shed is repositioned. The base allows for ventilation and drainage under the shed, helping to keep the shed floor dry.
To install the base, simply interlock the square grids together and lay onto a firm, level area of ground. We recommend using 15kg of 10mm pea gravel per square (gravel not included). Each square is 500 x 500 x 50mm. This pack contains 20 squares and heavy-duty, commercially-graded weed membrane.
Why choose a Premium Tongue & Groove Shed?
For a premium shed with a build you can trust, choose a tongue and groove shed. With their weathertight interlocking construction and long-lasting pressure treatment, Forest’s tongue & groove sheds provide you with reliable, durable and handsome garden storage. If you can afford a slightly higher initial spend, these premium sheds will save you time and money in the long run.

Premium Tongue and Groove Construction
WELL MADE IN THE UK
The majority of timber we use is from trees grown in sustainable forests in the UK.
ASSEMBLY SERVICE AVAILABLE
Our assembly service is available on selected products. Take a look at the options when purchasing your shed.
More effective than the surface coating provided by dip treatment, pressure treatment forces preservative deep inside the timber. This results in 15 years of anti-rot protection WITHOUT the need to re-treat. This will save you around £200 in money and time.
Far superior to OSB flooring which can sag, a tongue & groove floor will withstand years of heavy storage and footfall. The wooden floor provides greater support for the building and has a much more attractive finish.
Increased security is provided by a key-operated rim lock and hidden hinges, providing safety for the shed’s contents and peace of mind for you.
Boasting a premium tongue & groove construction, this shed features 12mm tongue & groove boards which interlock to create a sleek, weathertight finish that is robust, durable and handsome. The tight construction also resists warping.
Providing ventilation and light for a pleasant working and storage space, the opening windows are shatterproof and secured with high-quality latches. To suit your garden, the windows can be placed on either side of the apex models.
Stronger and more secure than the basic ledge-braced doors on standard sheds, these doors are reinforced with double Z bracing. This higher quality build also makes them less likely to drop or warp.
Comes with a 15 year anti-rot guarantee.
Pressure Treatment. No need for annual re treatment.
Smaller sections make transportation and handling easy.
Made in the UK.
Pressure Treatment Process Explained
The Pressure Treatment process for timber has been applied to products for a number of years; the key benefit of this process is that the preservative is forced under vacuum pressure right deep into the heart of the wood and the grain structure. The preservative becomes an integral part of the wood; giving a long life and protection against rot.
This process also means that you never have to apply preservatives to your garden shed, and it allows the natural colours of the timber to show through and so your shed blends easily within your garden. Surprisingly, our Pressure Treated Sheds are only slightly more expensive than our Dip Treated Sheds.
Vacuum
Timber is loaded into chamber and a vacuum empties timber cells of air.
Flooded
Cylinder is flooded under vacuum with preservative.
Pressure
Preservative is forced deep into timber using hydraulic pressure.
Vacuum
Another vacuum extracts excess preservative.
Dry
Timber draws in surface excess of preservative under low pressure, then is left to dry.
NO NEED TO RE-TREAT - SAVING YOU TIME AND MONEY!

Making British Gardens Great
At Forest, we know a fair bit about fences. And sheds for that matter. In fact, we've been one of the UK's most trusted manufacturer and distributor of quality wooden garden products for over 50 years.

Well made in Britain
The majority of the timber we use is grown and felled from managed UK forests across Scotland and Wales. After felling, the timber is cut and processed in one of our nearby sawmills and taken to our manufacturing operation in the heart of Britain. It is here our skilled workforce proudly produce the widest range of garden buildings, fencing and structures available in the UK.
All of the products that we sell are dispatched from this site. The final part of their journey is managed by our dedicated delivery department who are responsible for distribution direct to customers' homes by our fleet of vehicles.

Helping Everyone Thrive
We like to do our bit for charity and are proud to support Thrive. Thrive uses gardening as therapy to bring about positive changes in the lives of people living with disabilities or ill health, or those who are isolated, disadvantaged or vulnerable.
