Description

The 5x3 Overlap Dip Treated Shed available now is a fantastic value shed that will promise you long lasting protection for all sorts of small essential storage. Produced from tough materials the shed will guarantee you happiness for many years to come.

The 5x3 Overlap Dip Treated Shed has been cleverly designed to provide you with a secure shed. At 5x3 it has enough space for a mower, patio chairs and tools easily and fits into any garden with ease. The Overlap cladding design means that rain and other weather simply rolls off the walls leaving no chance for damage to the insides. The overlap cladding is cut from a slow grown Swedish timber which is then fitted to the solid frame that provides the shed with its robust nature.

The timber has been dip treated which is a process that involves covering the walls in a preservative which will then offer ten years’ protection from rot and fungal decay, provided it is re-treated annually.

The 5x3 Overlap Dip Treated shed has an apex roof which has been made from an 8mm thick OSB board, connecting to the frame. The roof is topped with a black sand felt that covers the entire roof and overhang and increases the rate of rain run off as well as protecting the timber itself from damage. Inside of the 5x3 Overlap Dip Treated shed you will find the same thick OSB board which is supported by a set of pressure treated joists that allow you to store heavy items with peace of mind.

A single door is found at the front of the 5x3 Overlap Dip Treated Shed which opens outwards for easy access. No window is a purpose feature as it means your items are not on show and again reduces the chance of being targeted by thieves.

The assembley is super easy thanks to the basic design as well as the in-depth instructions sent with delivery. Assembly requires no complex tools and can be standing in only a few hours.

  • 10 year guarantee against rot
  • 6 inch higher eaves than most other shed brands
  • The barge boards are manufactured from smooth timber
  • Thick roof battens to provide additional strength
  • 8mm overlap cladding, 8mm-10mm solid sheet roof and floor and 28x28mm framing
  • And finally we have added a finial on the apex sheds simply to make them look better!

Shed Base Option

Wooden Shed Base

Wooden Shed Base Kit

As an alternative to laying slabs or concrete, this shed base is a faster, more cost effective DIY solution suitable for use on uneven ground.

The wooden shed base consists of a pressure treated framework and galvanised steel spikes. The pressure treatment ensures that the framework is robust and is guaranteed to resist rot for an impressive 15 years. Galvanised steel spikes are then secured to the framework. They are designed to sink straight into the ground, so installation is simple and quick.

Dip treated sheds

Why choose a dip treated shed?

Dip treated sheds are economical as well as long-lasting; these garden sheds are perfect for those in search of a cost-effective storage solution for gardening tools, equipment, and outdoor toys.

To ensure maximum security, durability, and robustness, our Forest branded sheds are equipped with a number of other important features. For instance, hidden door hinges and a hasp and staple are used to provide extra security; the windows are made from unbreakable polycarbonate and attached with security screws; and the doors are strengthened with additional diagonal framing. Furthermore, the eaves height of the sheds is 6 inches greater than most other brands, providing maximum storage space.

Don't be fooled by cheap imitations. Buy a shed to last a lifetime!

Our Sheds

Our dip treated sheds are dipped in an anti-fungal solution treatment, providing short term protection. Therefore, they do not need to be treated for the first 12 months and come with a 10 year guarantee against rot when supported with annual retreatment.

Competitors' Sheds

An initial water-based treatment has been applied to protect the timber from mould for approximately 3 months. It is recommended that the wood be re-treated on installation and every year thereafter.

Dip Treatment Process Explained

Dip treatment is a tried and tested method of applying wood preservative to timber products, and the process is fairly straightforward. First, the timber is dipped into a cylinder containing a powerful wood preservative. The preservative is then absorbed into the surface of the timber and, after it’s removed and left to dry, it will be thoroughly protected it against both rot and fungal decay.

After the dip treatment process is completed, the timber will have a lovely orangey-brown hue, ensuring it will become an attractive feature of your garden, as well as complementing most fence panels. Of course, you can choose to stain your dip treated shed another colour upon assembly. If you’re interested in an affordable, practical, and sturdy dip treated shed, why not take a look at our featured products below?
