Description
The12x8 Overlap Pressure Treated Shed, a fantastic workshop that offers plenty of space for storage as well as storing mowers, tools and other essentials.
The 12x8 Overlap Pressure Treated Shed is manufactured from solid 8mm square edged overlapping timber boards ensuring the rain water will run away and allow for movement. They are fixed to 28mm x 28mm framing also pressure treated to provide a guarantee against rot for fifteen years. This means that unlike other dip treated sheds there will be no need for annual re treatment to support the guarantee saving you hours of time and potentially hundreds of pounds in treatment.
There is easy access through the double doors that now feature greater diagonal bracing, secured using hidden security hinges with security screws and can be secured with a padlock (not includes) through the hasp and staple latch. In addition the six windows (can be featured on either side) are glazed with un breakable Polycarbonate windows which are UV light stable and also fixed with security screws. Security really has been built in to give you peace of mind.
The floor is made from 16mm boards and supported by pressure treated floor bearers to take the weight and the roof is made up of 8mm OSB boards with upgraded framing to support and finished off with black sand roof felt.

Shed Base Option

Plastic Shed Base Kit
Quick and simple to install, the 12x8 plastic shed base kit is ideal for avoiding the hassle of laying slabs or concrete when preparing a base for a new shed. Its interlocking design makes it easy to put together and, though lightweight, it provides a very strong and durable base for the shed. Made from 100% recycled plastic, this shed base is eco-friendly. Also, it can be reused if the shed is repositioned. The base allows for ventilation and drainage under the shed, helping to keep the shed floor dry.
To install the base, simply interlock the square grids together and lay onto a firm, level area of ground. We recommend using 15kg of 10mm pea gravel per square (gravel not included). Each square is 500 x 500 x 50mm. This pack contains 40 squares and heavy-duty, commercially-graded weed membrane.

Why choose a pressure treated shed?
If you’re looking to purchase a new shed and can afford just a slightly higher initial spend, buying a pressure treated shed will save you a lot of time and money in the long term.
At Buy Sheds Direct, our Forest branded pressure treated sheds have a number of features to ensure maximum durability and security; including boarded wooden floors as opposed to OSB; security door hinges; a hasp and staple or mortice lock; and so much more.

Don't be fooled by cheap imitations. Buy a shed to last a lifetime!
Our Sheds
Pressure treatment (treatment is impregnated into the wood). No need to re-treat EVER, saving an estimated £200 in time and treatment costs.
Competitors' Sheds
Light coat of dip treatment, which means you’ll need to re-treat immediately and then re-treat a minimum of every year. So add approximately £25 on top of the price of the shed when comparing costs and 4 hours of your time per re-treatment.

Pressure Treatment Process Explained
The Pressure Treatment process for timber has been applied to products for a number of years; the key benefit of this process is that the preservative is forced under vacuum pressure right deep into the heart of the wood and the grain structure. The preservative becomes an integral part of the wood; giving a long life and protection against rot.
This process also means that you never have to apply preservatives to your garden shed, and it allows the natural colours of the timber to show through and so your shed blends easily within your garden. Surprisingly, our Pressure Treated Sheds are only slightly more expensive than our Dip Treated Sheds.
Vacuum
Timber is loaded into chamber and a vacuum empties timber cells of air.
Flooded
Cylinder is flooded under vacuum with preservative.
Pressure
Preservative is forced deep into timber using hydraulic pressure.
Vacuum
Another vacuum extracts excess preservative.
Dry
Timber draws in surface excess of preservative under low pressure, then is left to dry.
NO NEED TO RE-TREAT - SAVING YOU TIME AND MONEY!

From the Supplier: Forest Garden
"We're proud to be the largest and most trusted manufacturer and distributor of garden timber products in the UK" - Forest Garden

Making British Gardens Great
At Forest, we know a fair bit about fences. And sheds for that matter. In fact, we've been one of the UK's most trusted manufacturer and distributor of quality wooden garden products for over 50 years.
With two sawmills in the UK processing locally-sourced timber, and a Head Office in Hartlebury, Worcestershire, you’ll find our range of garden buildings, fencing, decking and decorative structures for sale across many sites online and in over 3,000 retail stores. From the forest to the doorstep, we are involved every step of the way to ensure we bring you the best product and service.

Home Grown
We're proud to say that the majority of the timber we use is cut in our very own sawmill from trees grown in the UK.
Not only that, but our range is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council and the majority of our products carry the FSC logo - so you know that our timber is ethically sourced from well-managed, sustainable forests that are replanted for future generations.
(Certification number TT-COC-001790, Issue date 5 March 2015)

Well made in Britain
The majority of the timber we use is grown and felled from managed UK forests across Scotland and Wales. After felling, the timber is cut and processed in one of our nearby sawmills and taken to our manufacturing operation in the heart of Britain. It is here our skilled workforce proudly produce the widest range of garden buildings, fencing and structures available in the UK.
All of the products that we sell are dispatched from this site. The final part of their journey is managed by our dedicated delivery department who are responsible for distribution direct to customers' homes by our fleet of vehicles.

Helping Everyone Thrive
We like to do our bit for charity and are proud to support Thrive. Thrive uses gardening as therapy to bring about positive changes in the lives of people living with disabilities or ill health, or those who are isolated, disadvantaged or vulnerable.
